Munshi Gajadhar Singh Janta Inter College is situated in a place called Komari, which is in the Hathras district. Our pin code is 204101. It’s a rural area, so the surroundings are mostly fields and small houses. The college building is a long, single-story structure that has seen a lot of seasons. We have many students from the local villages who walk or come on their cycles. It’s a noisy place when classes change, but otherwise, it’s fairly quiet out here in Komari. We don’t have much in the way of luxury. The benches are wooden and the floors are stone. We spend a lot of time dealing with the government paperwork and making sure the exam schedules are followed. Hathras can get very cold in the winter, so everyone comes wrapped in heavy shawls. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from teaching to helping with the administration. The college is a known landmark in this part of the district. We don’t use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just an inter college providing a place for students to finish their schooling. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in the staff room drinking tea or sitting out in the sun during the break. It’s an honest, simple life we have here at the college in Hathras.
