Chettinad Cements Ltd.

We are based at 12-78 Park Road in Kr Puram. Being near the park means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which is nice when we are moving heavy bags around. Kr Puram is always a hive of activity, and Park Road is no exception. Our facility is mostly just a warehouse with a small area for us to sit and handle the paperwork. Chettinad Cements has been a name in this area for a while, but our specific branch here is run very much like a local shop. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often stop to chat while we’re waiting for a delivery. The traffic on Park Road can be a bit much in the evenings, but during the day it’s not so bad. We focus on keeping the stacks organized so we can find things quickly. It’s not the most glamorous job, dealing with cement all day, but it’s what we know. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or complicated machines. It’s mostly just manual labor and keeping good records in our books. Sometimes the dust gets into everything, so we are always wiping down the desks. The building is older, with some cracks in the floor and paint peeling here and there, but it’s sturdy. We like being in Kr Puram. It feels like a real community where people still talk to each other. We just go about our business and try to keep things simple.
