Jai Maa Ganga Ekta Club

Jai Maa Ganga Ekta Club is situated over in the Kankhal area of Haridwar. Kankhal has a very specific feel to it, much different and a bit slower than the main crowded parts of the city. Our club is just a small spot where people from the neighborhood tend to gather. We do not have a big corporate office or anything like that because that isn't really what we are about. It is more of a community space where folks come to sit and talk. You can hear the sounds of the town and the bells from the temples nearby all day long. We spend a lot of our time just chatting and planning things for the local area. It is not a business that is out to make a huge profit; it is more about the people living around here. The building we use is quite old and has that classic Haridwar look to it. It gets a bit humid in the summer, so we keep the windows wide open to catch whatever breeze comes off the river. We do not really have a formal reception desk or anything. If the door is open, someone is usually inside drinking tea. We have been part of the Kankhal scene for many years. People know where to find us if they need something done in the local community. It is just a group of us trying to keep things together.
