Cafe Hillside

We've been here on Haridwar Road in Roorkee for a while now. You can find us right above the Monte Carle showroom, which is pretty easy to spot if you’re driving toward the college. Speaking of that, Methodist College is just across from us, so we see a lot of students coming in and out all day long. It gets busy around noon when classes let out. The stairs up to the cafe are a bit narrow, but once you're inside, it’s a decent spot to sit. Roorkee has its own pace, and being on this main road means there is always traffic and noise outside. We just keep things running here, making sure chairs are straight and the tables are wiped down. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just how things are here, but we manage. People stop by for a quick bite or just to escape the sun for a bit. It’s not fancy. We have the usual stuff on the menu that people in this part of town like. Most of our regulars are either kids from the college or folks working in the shops nearby. It’s a good mix. We don’t really do anything flashy. It’s just us, the furniture, and the view of the street below. If you’re walking past the showroom, you’ll see our sign. It’s nothing special, but it’s home for us during the day. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of the Haridwar Road traffic.
