Bhuana Farmer Producer Company Limited

Down in Village Kamtada, in the Harda district, we have got our farmer producer company set up. We work out of Garib Das Khodre’s place. It is a small village, so everyone knows where we are. Bhuana Farmer Producer Company is basically a way for us locals to stay afloat in a market that does not always care about the small guy. We grow mostly the usual stuff for this part of Harda, and we try to sell it together so we have a bit more say in the price. The office is not much to speak of. It is a room with some chairs and a lot of talk about the weather and the government rates. We do not have any fancy mission statements or glossy posters on the walls. We just have our land and our neighbors. Farming is a tough business, and it seems to get tougher every year with the costs going up. We spend our days out in the fields and our evenings talking about how to make things work better. It is an honest way to live, even if it is not easy. We do not use a lot of big words or try to act like we are something we are not. We are just people from Kamtada trying to make sure our kids have a future here. If the harvest is good, we celebrate. If it is bad, we figure out how to get by. That is just life.
