Samratraj Mahila Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at 506/1/2/3/A. This is where Seema Khavare lives and works. We are a group of women farmers who wanted to do something together. Farming is hard when you are on your own, especially with all the paperwork and selling that needs to be done. We decided to register this company so we could help each other out. It’s just a regular house where we keep our files and meet up. There are no fancy signs or big offices here. We spend our days out in the dirt, planting and weeding. We talk a lot about the weather and when the rain might finally come. Seema helps keep everything organized at her place. We are just local women trying to get a fair price for what we grow. It’s not a high-tech operation. We use the tools we have and work the land like our families have for years. Some seasons are better than others, but we keep going regardless. We don't have any big slogans or missions. We just want to farm and take care of our families. If you come by the address, you’ll likely find us talking about the next crop or sorting through seeds. It’s just how life is for us. We work hard and hope for the best.
