Yadav Poha Mill

Yadav Poha Mill sits right on Ramgarh Road in the Datiya district. It is a dusty kind of place because of all the grain and the big trucks passing by on the road outside. We spend the whole day working with the machines to make the poha. It is very loud inside the mill when everything is running, so you have to yell a bit to be heard by anyone. We don't have many employees here, mostly just family and a few local guys from the village who help out with the heavy lifting and loading. The bags are heavy and my back really feels it by the end of the week. Datiya is a quiet enough place overall, but the Ramgarh Road stays active with transport moving through. We have been here for many years now and the building has definitely seen better days. We fix things when they break and just keep the rollers turning as long as we can. It’s not a glamorous job at all. You get covered in dust and the heat from the machinery can be quite a lot to handle in the summer months. We just focus on getting the poha processed and loaded onto the trucks for the next trip. There isn't much time for anything else in our day. We don't do any fancy advertising or marketing. People just know where the mill is and they come to see us when they need stock. It is a simple way to make a living, even if it is very tiring. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
