B. P. Food Products (P) Ltd. is over at 20-B in the Maharajpura Industrial Area. If you come by, you’ll probably smell whatever we are working on that day before you even see the sign. The industrial area is a pretty loud and busy place with trucks moving in and out all the time. Our building is a big concrete structure that keeps the heat out as much as possible, which is good because it gets hot around the ovens and machines. We have a crew that comes in shifts to keep the production going. It’s not the cleanest work in terms of flour or ingredients getting everywhere, but we try to keep the actual food areas as tidy as possible. We’ve had some of the same people working the machines for years now, so they know exactly how everything sounds when it’s running right. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting bags and moving crates around. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. We just make the products and send them out to the shops. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we all have to pitch in to fix it. That's just how life is in a place like Maharajpura. We’re just regular people making food products and trying to keep things moving. We just keep our heads down and get the production finished for the day.
