Sugandha Rice

If you find yourself in the Jawahar Ganj area of Gwalior, you might have seen our place. We are located near the ICICI bank, which makes it easy for folks to give directions. It is a busy part of town and there is always a lot of traffic and people moving about. We deal in rice, mostly keeping various types in stock for the shops and families around the district. The shop is not very big, but we make the most of the space we have. There are stacks of bags reaching up to the ceiling most of the time. We spend our days talking to suppliers and making sure the rice is what it should be before we sell it. It gets pretty dusty with all the grain moving around, but that is part of the trade. My staff and I have been at this for a while now. We know the regulars by name and they know where to find us when they need a refill for their kitchens. Sometimes the market gets very crowded and it is hard to even park a cart outside, but we manage to get things loaded. Gwalior can be hot in the months before the rain, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the day. We do not do much advertising or anything, we just open the doors every morning and get to work. It is just a regular local business trying to do things right for the people here.
