S.M. Preservers Private Limited

Being located near the railway station in Railway Ganj means there is always a lot of movement. S.M. Preservers Private Limited sits right on A.B Road, which is a convenient spot for getting things moved quickly. Our work is mostly about storage and making sure things don't spoil. We have the units running all day and night to keep the temperature where it needs to be. It’s a bit of a noisy place with the hum of the cooling systems and the trains passing by so close. We spend a lot of our time checking the crates and making sure everything is labeled and stacked properly so nothing gets crushed. The staff here knows the routine well, from unloading the trucks that pull in off the main road to doing the inventory checks in the cold rooms. It gets pretty cold inside, so we are always swapping between the heat outside and the chill indoors. We’ve seen the area around the station change quite a bit over the years, but our building stays pretty much the same. We deal with a lot of different suppliers who bring in their goods for us to hold. It isn't a complicated business, but it requires us to stay on top of the equipment and the schedules. If a compressor goes down, it’s a big problem, so there is always someone around to keep an eye on things. It’s a steady kind of work that doesn’t change much from one month to the next.
