Mukesh Sharma Decorators is located over in Khasgi Bazar, right in the middle of the Gwalior City hustle. If you come by the shop, you will probably see stacks of folded tents, bundles of colorful cloth, and maybe some wooden frames sitting out. We have been doing this for years, mostly handling the local weddings and small functions that happen around the neighborhood. It is a lot of physical labor, dragging poles and climbing up ladders to tie drapes. My hands are usually a bit rough from all the rope work and moving heavy furniture around. During the peak season, we barely get any sleep because everyone wants their setup finished by the early morning. We aren't a big corporate team with uniforms; we are just a group of workers who know how to put a stage together. The shop in Khasgi Bazar is small and gets a bit dusty with all the fabric moving in and out, but it works for us. Sometimes the weather doesn't help, like when a sudden wind tries to blow the shamiana away, and we have to run out to secure everything. We just try to do a solid job so that the family hosting the party doesn't have to worry about the tent falling down. It is a simple life and we have stayed in this same spot for a long time now.
