Khandelwal Tent House

Khandelwal Tent House is over at Rangmahal Garden in the Lashkar area of Gwalior. We are right in front of the AG Office. It’s a very well-known spot. Since we are at Rangmahal Garden, we have plenty of space for all our tent poles and big rolls of cloth. This isn't a job where you sit still. We are always loading trucks with chairs, tables, and heavy iron pipes. It’s hard on the hands and we get pretty tired by the end of the day. Gwalior can get very hot, especially when you are out in the sun setting up a big tent. We have been doing this for many years. Our family knows the business inside and out. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s more of a warehouse feel where everything is stacked and ready to go. When people come to see us, they usually want to see what colors we have or how many guests we can fit under one roof. We just tell them what we have available. We don't use fancy sales talk. If we have it, we say so. If we don't, we don't. It’s a simple way of doing business that has worked for us. Lashkar is a busy part of town and being near the AG office means there is always traffic and people around. We just keep our heads down and get the tents up on time. It is physical work and we take pride in just getting it done properly.
