Garg Dal Mills

We’ve been running Garg Dal Mills on Naiwal Road for a good number of years now. If you are looking for our place, we are right across from Gokul Market, near Geta Bhawan Road. It is a busy street and there is always something going on outside. The mill itself isn't much to look at from the outside, just a plain building with lots of sacks stacked up. Inside, the machines are usually humming away. We spend most of our day cleaning and splitting different kinds of pulses. It is dusty work and by the time we go home, our clothes are covered in it. My father started this and now I help run things along with a few workers who have been with us for a long time. We don't have any big corporate office or anything like that. We just have a small desk where we keep the ledger and take calls. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around for it to come back, which gives us time to have some tea. We don't do much fancy advertising. Most people around here just know where we are and what we do. We get the raw grain in big trucks, process it, and then it goes back out in smaller bags. It is just a regular local business trying to do things right. The road gets a bit muddy when it rains, so that can be a hassle for the loaders, but we manage somehow.
