Asthsiddhi Agri Producer Company Limited is based out of Village Mugalpura, which is in the Morar area of Gwalior. Our place is at house number 185. It is a pretty basic setup because we would rather be out in the fields than sitting behind a desk all day long. Dealing with farming in this part of Madhya Pradesh means you have to be ready for anything. We started this because a few of us realized that buying fertilizer and seeds individually was costing way too much. Now we try to pool our resources and see if we can get a better deal for everyone in the village. It is not always easy to get people on the same page, but we manage somehow. The office is really just a spot to keep the paperwork and meet up when the sun goes down. We do not have any fancy marketing people or anything like that. It is just us farmers trying to navigate the markets and the government rules. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit confusing but we help each other out. If you head towards Post Bijoli, you will find us. We know the land here because we grew up on it. We are just trying to make the work a bit more sustainable so the next generation does not give up on the land. It is hard work, but it is what we know.
