Marble Selection

Being on G.S. Road means there is always a lot of noise. Marble Selection is located right here in Christian Basti. We have been moving these heavy slabs for a long time now. It’s hard work on the back, but it’s what we do. The shop is full of different stones and pieces that people look at for their kitchens or bathrooms. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. Usually, it's just one or two of us standing around waiting for the next truck to arrive or a customer to pull up. The traffic out front can be a real headache sometimes. People park their scooters and come in to ask about prices. We tell them what we have in stock. If we don’t have it, we say so. No point in making things up. The Christian Basti area has changed, more shops are opening up, but we stay focused on our marble. Sometimes the floor gets covered in stone dust and we have to sweep it out three times a day. It’s just how it is with this kind of business. We don't spend money on fancy decorations for the office. We'd rather just show the stone as it is. Most people who live around G.S. Road know where we are. We just keep the gates open and wait for the day to start. It’s a steady life and we are used to it.
