Kushi Primary & Nursery School

Kushi Primary & Nursery School is tucked away in the Krishna Nagar area of Chandmari. If you know Guwahati, you know this part of town can get pretty crowded during rush hour. We have been here for a while now looking after the younger kids who are just starting out with their education. Most of the children come from the nearby houses and their parents usually drop them off on their way to work. It is a noisy place because nursery kids are never really quiet but that is just how it goes with small children. We spend our mornings doing basic counting and alphabet work. It is not some high-tech setup or anything like that. We have some toys and books and we try to keep the classrooms tidy though that is hard with five-year-olds running around everywhere. The teachers here are mostly local women who have been with us for years. We do not really do much advertising because people in Krishna Nagar already know where we are. Sometimes we have to fix a broken chair or repaint a wall after the monsoon rains. It is just a small local school trying to provide a place for kids to spend their day productively while their parents are busy. We don't have a big office or a lobby. It is just a simple building where we do our best to keep things organized and safe for the little ones until school ends.
