Kyasapura Government Primary School

This is the primary school located right near the Sundarpur Namghar, just off the main Zoo Road in Guwahati. Since it is a government school, things are pretty basic and functional. We have the usual classrooms with benches that have seen many students over the years. The namghar is right next door, so it’s a very familiar landmark for everyone who lives in this neighborhood. In the mornings, you can hear the kids during assembly, and then it settles down into the usual school day sounds. The walls have some old charts and drawings made by the students. We don't have a massive playground, but there is enough space for the children to run around during their lunch break. The traffic on Zoo Road is always loud, but you stop noticing it after being here for a while. We make sure the midday meals are served and that the kids are attending their classes regularly. It’s not a polished or modern building, just a place for the local children to get their primary education. Most of us working here live nearby, so it feels like a real community spot. We deal with the usual school stuff like keeping the registers updated and making sure we have enough chalk for the day. It is a straightforward job, and we just keep the doors open for anyone in the area who needs to send their children here.
