Fancy Bazar is a crowded place, and that is where we’ve got our shop on HB Road. We make metal trunks and buckets mostly. It’s been our main thing for years. If you walk down the street, you’ll hear us before you see us because of all the metal being moved and shaped. It’s dusty work and our hands usually have some grease on them by lunchtime. We make the kind of trunks that people use for storing heavy blankets or for moving house. They are solid things, built to last. The buckets we make are for everyday use, nothing fancy, just good galvanized metal. We have a small crew and some of the guys have been with us since we opened. The shop is packed floor to ceiling with stock, so it’s a bit of a squeeze getting around sometimes. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where people can come and see what we have. Customers come in looking for something sturdy, and we show them what we’ve got on the floor. It’s honest work. The heat from the soldering can be tough in the afternoons, but we get through it. We’re just a local factory doing what we’ve always done. You just learn to live with the noise and the stacks of metal everywhere. It's how we have always operated.
