A N International

You have to walk up to the second floor of Ram Kumar Plaza to find us. A N International is right here in the middle of Chatribari, which is always crowded and a bit loud. Being on the second floor means we don’t get as much dust from the street, but carrying heavy boxes up those stairs is definitely a workout. The plaza itself is old, and you can see the wear on the railings and the floor tiles. We have a couple of rooms filled with files and the products we handle for the Kamrup district and beyond. It’s not a big corporate setup, just a few desks pushed together and some ceiling fans that rattle a bit when they're on high. We spend most of our time looking at shipping papers and talking to people on the mobile. There’s always a pile of newspapers in the corner and someone usually has a tiffin box open around noon. The view from the window is just more buildings and the tops of the trucks on the road below. Sometimes the lift in the plaza doesn't work, so we have to be patient. It’s a busy life here in Chatribari, and we’re just part of the daily hustle. We stay until late evening, usually finishing up the paperwork by the light of a small desk lamp before heading home.
