Yashika Scrap

We run a scrap business right here on Old Railway Road. It’s the kind of place where things are always moving in and out, mostly old metal and bits of machinery that people don't need anymore. This road can get quite busy with trucks and people looking for parts, so we stay pretty active throughout the day. We don't have a big corporate setup or a shiny front office because that’s not really how the scrap trade works. It's more about knowing what materials are worth and making sure things get sorted out correctly. If you have stuff taking up space, we usually just take a look and see what can be recycled or sold off. It's dusty work and our hands are rarely clean, but it's an honest living. People from all over the neighborhood know where we are. We have been on Old Railway Road for a bit now, and we just deal with whatever comes through the gate. Sometimes it's old pipes, sometimes it's bigger stuff from construction sites. We just pile it up and get it processed. There’s no complicated process here, just bring what you have and we talk about it. It’s a very local operation and we know most of the regulars who stop by. We don't spend much time on the computer, we are usually outside handling the heavy lifting and sorting through the piles. It keeps us busy from morning until we shut the gates.
