Our workspace for Vraaj Interiors And Architects is in Vashishth Complex on MG Road. We are in 112 A, which is quite easy to find since we are near the Sikandarpur Metro Station. Being on MG Road means we are always in the thick of Gurgaon’s traffic and noise. You can hear the metro announcements if the windows are open. The office is a bit of a mix between an architecture studio and a storage room for interior samples. We have piles of catalogs and stone samples taking up most of the shelf space. It’s a busy place, and there is usually some kind of music playing in the background to drown out the road noise. We don’t have a formal dress code or anything like that; we just show up and get to work. The building itself is older, so it has some character, like the creaky stairs and the slightly dim hallways. We spend our hours sketching out room layouts or arguing about which color of wood looks better under artificial light. It’s a very collaborative spot, and we often end up eating lunch together at the main table. The location is the best part because we can jump on the metro and get to any site in Delhi or Gurgaon pretty quickly. It’s a messy, creative, and very real place to work every day.
