If you’re looking for us, we’re over at C-1283 in Sushant Lok-I. It’s a quiet enough spot, which is good because we need the focus to get the drawings right. Spaceart Architects started because we wanted to do things a bit differently than the big firms. We don’t have a lot of layers or people in suits. You usually just talk to the person who is actually drawing your house. It makes things simpler. We spend our mornings checking on projects and our afternoons tucked away in the office. Sushant Lok-I has some interesting older houses and plenty of new ones going up, so there is always something to look at. We keep a lot of material samples around—heaps of stone, wood pieces, and stacks of catalogs. It can get a bit cluttered, but that’s just how we work. We don't think architecture has to be this really stiff, formal thing. It’s about where you put your shoes when you come home or how much light gets into the kitchen. We try to think about those small things. Sometimes we stay late because a design isn't clicking, and other days we're out on a dusty site making sure the masonry is straight. It’s a lot of practical, everyday stuff. We aren't here to win awards; we just want the buildings to stand up and the people inside them to be comfortable.
