Swami Departmental Store

If you know where the Mata Road Bus Stand is, then you’ve probably seen us. Swami Departmental Store is right there, very close to Manta Hospital. It’s a busy spot because of the buses coming and going all day long. We get a lot of people stopping by who are either waiting for a ride or visiting someone at the hospital. Our shelves are usually pretty full with whatever people need for their homes. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We aren't one of those massive supermarkets, just a local store where we know a lot of the customers by name. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big crowd comes off the bus at once, but we handle it. The location is the main thing for us. Being near the hospital means we stay open late sometimes. We carry a bit of everything, from snacks to household items. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep things tidy enough. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the neighbors to come in. It’s been our daily life for years. The noise from the bus stand is something you eventually stop hearing. We’re just a regular part of the street. It is a simple life and we like the people who stop in to chat while they wait for their bus.
