You can find SNM IMPEX PRIVATE LIMITED over at Plot No. 578 in Udyog Vihar Phase 5. If you know this part of Gurgaon, you know it’s always packed with people and all kinds of vehicles. Our plot is right in the thick of it. We use the space mainly for handling our imports and exports, so there is usually a lot of box tape noise and people moving pallets around on the floor. It’s not really a place for a quiet chat. The walls are a plain color and we have some basic metal racking for all the stock we keep. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. You just walk in and you’re pretty much in the middle of where the work happens. Most of our day is spent checking manifests and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly before they leave. The heat in Phase 5 can be pretty intense in June, so we have a couple of big fans going all the time just to keep the air moving. It’s a practical environment for what we do. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with the decor or furniture. We just want to make sure the goods get where they need to go without any trouble. Sometimes the narrow streets outside get blocked by a delivery van, and everyone has to wait, but that’s just life here. We know the rhythms of the neighborhood well.
