If you are looking for Shivam Techno, you have to head into the Kadipur Industrial Area. It’s tucked away in Gali No. 8, down Lane No. 3, which can be a bit tricky to find if the Google Maps is acting up. We are right behind the Radha Swami Satsang Vyas, so that’s the main landmark to use if you get lost on Pataudi Road. The area is quite dusty because of all the construction and the trucks moving in and out, but that’s just life in an industrial zone. We’ve been here for a few years now. The building is a simple one, mostly just open space for our technical work. We have a few benches set up and some old racks for the parts. It’s not very organized to an outsider, but we know exactly where every tool is kept. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we all walk or bike to work. We take a long break in the afternoon when the sun is at its worst and sit in the shade of the building next door. There’s a guy who brings tea around 4 PM, and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the name painted on the wall near the door. It’s a quiet life of work, mostly just focusing on the jobs we have for the week.
