We’re up on the 7th floor of Enkay Towers in Udyog Vihar. It’s a typical office building in Phase-V, surrounded by other glass towers and lots of corporate commuters. The elevators can be a real wait during the morning rush, so we try to get in early. Once you’re up here, the view of Vanijya Nikunj is okay, mostly just rooftops and more office blocks. The space we have is pretty functional. We have rows of desks and some storage for the optics we deal with. It isn’t a showroom, so don’t expect anything sparkly. It’s just where the logistical side of things happens. We spend a lot of time on computers or looking over inventory lists. The air conditioning is usually too cold, and someone is always complaining about it. Outside, the traffic in Udyog Vihar is legendary, so we usually stick around until the rush dies down in the evening. There’s a small canteen downstairs where everyone gets their lunch, but we mostly just eat at our desks while finishing up tasks. It’s a very standard office life here. Nothing too exciting happens, just the usual cycle of emails, phone calls, and keeping track of the stock. It’s a decent place to work, even if the commute is a bit of a grind every single day.
