Prachtel Infocom Systems

Our place is on Delhi Road, which is basically a constant stream of cars and trucks. Inside the shop, it is a bit quieter, but there is always the hum of computers running. We spend our time fixing systems and trying to explain to people why their machines aren't doing what they want. It is a lot of troubleshooting. We have wires and motherboards sitting on almost every flat surface. It’s not the cleanest looking place, but we know where everything is. People bring in laptops that have had tea spilled on them or ones that won't turn on for no reason at all. We do our best to figure it out. Sometimes it’s a quick fix and other times we have to wait for parts to arrive from somewhere else. Delhi Road can be a difficult place to find parking, so we see a lot of people rushing in and out. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the technology change so fast. It's hard to keep up sometimes. We don't do much advertising. Most people just find us because they live nearby or they've heard about us from a neighbor. We aren't some big corporate service center with a waiting room and coffee. We’re just a couple of guys who know how to work with computers. It's a simple operation and we like it that way. We just take one job at a time.
