Our office for Il Fs Technologies Ltd. is up on the 3rd Floor of the Ambience Corporate Tower. Being right there at Ambience Mall on the National Highway 8 means the commute is always a bit of a headache with the traffic, but once you’re inside, it’s a different world. The office itself is full of cubicles and those rolling chairs that always seem to squeak when you move. We have a view of the highway, so we spend a lot of time watching the cars crawl along while we wait for meetings to start or for files to upload. It’s a lot of typing and clicking. Since we’re at Ambience Island, there’s always the smell of food from the mall drifting up around lunchtime, which makes everyone hungry earlier than they should be. There's a loose floor tile near the kitchen that everyone trips on at least once. The air conditioning is usually a bit too cold, so most of us keep a sweater at our desks even when it's boiling outside on NH8. It’s a big building, and sometimes you get lost just trying to find the right elevator bank. We aren't really into the flashy corporate culture; we just come in, do the technical work, and try to get out before the evening rush hour hits the highway. It’s a lot of routine, checking systems, and sitting in front of monitors, which is just the reality of working here.
