Hemant Kumar

My name is Hemant Kumar and I’m located in Moh.Gujran Chowk, which is part of the Bawal village post office area in Rewari district. It’s Haryana, so you know it gets cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. The chowk is always a bit of a mess with people and animals and bikes moving around. My place is right in the thick of it. It’s a sturdy building, old-fashioned with thick walls that help with the temperature a little bit. I don’t have any fancy signs out front. People just know where Hemant lives and works. I do a lot of my business face-to-face here. The room where I sit has a big window that looks out onto the street. I can see everyone coming and going. It’s not a quiet place, but it has a rhythm that I’ve grown to like. My desk is an old wooden one that belonged to my father. I keep my ledgers and my phone there. There’s always a bit of dust because of the dry Haryana wind, so I’m forever wiping down my surfaces. It’s a simple, local way of doing things. No one around here cares for big speeches or polished presentations. We just talk, figure out what needs to be done, and do it. That’s how I’ve always run things from this spot in Bawal. I spend most of my days right here, watching the world go by through the front glass.
