Working out of Vatika Atrium on Golf Course Road means there’s always a lot of traffic and noise outside, but inside our office on the first floor, it’s mostly just us talking about glass. Glass & Glazing Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd. sounds like a big name, but we’re just a group of people who know a lot about windows and building fronts. Our office in Tower B isn't one of those super modern places with bean bags; it’s mostly just desks, stacks of glass samples, and blueprints that are usually a bit coffee-stained. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at drawings to make sure things fit right. It gets stressful when deadlines are tight, and the printer often jams right when we need it. I’ve been here a while and I’ve seen the road outside change so much. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we take the stairs. We deal with architects and builders who are usually in a hurry, so we have to stay on our toes. It’s not all glamorous work. There’s a lot of measuring and double-checking numbers so we don't mess up a big order. We usually eat lunch together at our desks while arguing about cricket or the weather. It’s a job, and we take it seriously, but we’re just regular folks trying to get the glass installed right and the measurements done.
