Fabulous Thread

We are over in Sector 57. Fabulous Thread is a small operation, and we’ve made our home in this part of the neighborhood. It’s a bit quieter here than in some of the other sectors. We like the pace. Most of our day is spent working with different materials. The name says it all, really. We deal with threads and textiles. The workspace is usually covered in bits of string and fabric samples. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a big staff, just a few people who are good with their hands. We don't spend money on marketing or anything like that. People usually find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. The building is just a standard Sector 57 structure. Nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s a different story with all the colors we have. We try to keep the machines maintained, though they can be temperamental sometimes. When one of them breaks down, we just fix it ourselves and keep going. It’s an honest way to make a living. We enjoy the work and the people we meet. It’s not a fast-paced life, but it’s ours. We’re just here in the sector, doing what we know how to do best. It’s a good way to spend the day, surrounded by all these different textures.
