Digiworld

Udyog Vihar Phase IV is always a bit of a mess with traffic, but our shop at 296 is right in the thick of it. Digiworld is basically a warehouse and a shop floor combined into one. We have boxes stacked up almost to the ceiling in the back. It’s a bit narrow when we get a big shipment in, and you have to squeeze past the crates. I’ve been here since this phase was still being built up. Customers usually come in looking for a specific part or a new gadget they saw online. We try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves, but it gets disorganized pretty quickly. The floor is concrete and shows all the scuff marks from moving heavy stuff around. We have a small counter near the front where we do the billing and talk to people. It’s not one of those shiny showrooms you see in the malls. It feels more like a workshop where things actually happen. The lights flicker a little if we turn on too many machines at once. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out the noise of the trucks outside. It’s a busy life, and there’s always something to unpack or label. We stay open late most days because people stop by on their way home from the nearby factories. It’s just how we do things here at 296.
