Down in Mandi, Gurgaon, at Hno 77 in Ward No 6, you will find our small workspace. Dev Comptech Pvt Ltd has been based here for quite some time now. It’s not the shiny part of Gurgaon with the big glass towers; it’s more of a real neighborhood with narrow lanes and plenty of noise. We share the building with a few other families and small setups. Inside our office, there are cables running along the floor and stacks of old monitor boxes in the corner. Most of our days are spent at the workbenches or on the phone trying to explain things to people. We have a small kettle for making coffee, which we do way too often. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people are in the room, but we make it work. The humidity in the summer makes the papers curl, which is a bit of a pain. We just get on with the jobs we have and try to stay on top of the repairs and the orders. It is a simple place where we work hard.
