Decon Host And Software Solutions is based out of Plot Number 116 in Udyog Vihar Phase 4. It’s a very industrial part of the area so there are always trucks and vans moving stuff around nearby. Our building is pretty straightforward and we occupy a space where we manage a lot of hosting and software tasks. It gets quite noisy outside with all the construction and traffic, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of fans from the servers and people typing. We’ve been at this for a while now in Gurgaon. The heat can be a bit much in the summer but we have the cooling units running to keep the machines safe. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff that people don’t usually see when they use their computers. It’s a lot of maintenance and making sure everything stays online for the people who need it. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just desks, cables, and a lot of coffee mugs scattered about. Sometimes we stay late when a project is giving us trouble, which happens more than we’d like to admit. Most of us have been working together for years so we know how to deal with each other’s habits. We usually take a walk around the plot during our breaks just to get some air. It’s a simple setup but it works for the kind of software work we do every day.
