Darship Exports operates out of a flat in The Palm Springs area, near Sadar Bazar in Gurgaon. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for an export business, being in a residential complex, but it works for us. We started small and stayed that way on purpose. Most of our work involves coordinating shipments and talking to suppliers on the phone. We don't have a big warehouse here; it's more of an office where we keep our files and handle the endless paperwork. Gurgaon has changed so much since we started, with all the big glass buildings going up, but we’re still tucked away here in C-1103. It's a bit of a trek through the Sadar Bazar traffic sometimes, which can be a nightmare in the afternoons. We handle different kinds of goods for export. It’s mostly about making sure things get from the factory to the port without too much trouble. We don't have a lot of employees, just a few of us who have known each other for years. We aren't interested in being the biggest company out there. We just like the work and the people we deal with. It gets stressful when ships are delayed or the paperwork gets stuck at the port, but we handle it together. It's a regular life, nothing fancy about it. We just sit here, drink our tea, and make sure the containers get loaded correctly.
