Our office for Cygnus Microsystems P Ltd is over at H. No. 2002/3 in Rajiv Nagar. We are tucked away on Street No. 2, just off New Mata Road. Gurgaon is a very different place now than it was when we first set up here. Everything is faster and more crowded. We handle microsystems, which means a lot of detailed work with tiny components and circuit boards. It is the kind of job that requires a lot of patience and good lighting. Our building is a regular house that we converted into a workspace. It’s comfortable, though it gets a bit dusty with all the new construction happening nearby in Gurgaon. We don't have a big HR department or corporate bosses in suits. It’s just a small group of us who have worked together for years. We usually start the day with a quick chat about what needs fixing or assembling. The commute on New Mata Road can be a headache, so we usually get in early to avoid the worst of it. We don't do much in the way of promotion or sales pitches. The people who need our specific technical skills usually find their way to us eventually. We have our routines, our favorite lunch spots nearby, and we just keep the work moving. It’s a quiet, practical way to spend the day. We like the independence of being in Rajiv Nagar. Most days we just keep to ourselves and focus.
