Chikan Dress

Chikan Dress is out in Ardee City, Gurgaon. It’s a busy area and we have our spot set up here to handle all the garment work that comes our way. Chikan work takes a lot of time and patience, and that is mostly what we do all day long. The room is usually full of fabric and threads of different colors. It gets a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big project, but we clean up eventually. Ardee City is a good location because people are always moving around. We aren't a big factory or anything, just a group of people who know how to handle a needle and thread. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we just pick back up where we left off as soon as it's back. It’s a simple life here. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the clothes look right before they leave the shop. Most of our days are spent sitting and focusing on the small details. It’s quiet work for the most part, except for the radio playing in the corner. We’ve been in Gurgaon for a while now and we like the pace of things here. It’s just a regular shop doing regular work for people who need it. We just show up and do the work the best we can every day.
