Our place is out on Delhi Road, right near the 10 Km stone. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but there’s more space for the heavy stuff here. Bharat Metals And Alloys has been operating from this yard for quite some time. It gets loud with the trucks coming and going, and there is usually dust in the air. We work with different types of metals and alloys every day. It’s dirty work, honestly. Your clothes get stained and your hands get rough, but that’s just part of it. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just find one of us near the scales or checking the inventory. We handle a lot of different orders, some big and some small. The weather out here can be tough, especially in the summer when the sun hits the metal. We’ve got a small office where we keep the records, but mostly we are outside. It’s a simple setup. We don’t use fancy words to describe what we do. We just move metal from one place to another or get it ready for whoever needs it next. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves. It's just life on the road. We stay busy and try to make sure everything is counted correctly before it leaves the gate. It's not glamorous, but it is what we know how to do and how we get by.
