Bechtel India is based out of House Number 857 in Sector 40, Gurgaon. It is a regular house that we use for our office work. When you come down the street, it looks like most of the other buildings in the area, but we have our setup inside. The ground floor has most of the desks, and it gets quite busy during the middle of the day. We have been here for a while now, and the neighbors know us. It’s not a big glass tower or anything like that. Just a practical space where we get things done. Most of us arrive by nine, and the first thing we do is get the fans going because it gets warm early. There are files stacked in the corners and the printers usually make a bit of noise when we are busy. We don’t have a big cafeteria, so we usually just eat at our desks or step out to the local shops nearby. The commute can be a bit of a pain with the Gurgaon traffic, but being in Sector 40 makes it a bit easier to get to than some other parts of the city. We have a small team here, and everyone pretty much knows what they need to do. It’s a straightforward environment without much fuss or corporate polish. We spend a lot of time on the computers and making phone calls to coordinate our daily projects. The address is easy to find once you know the sector, and we like it here well enough.
