Avenues

We’re based at 70 Housing Board Colony in Gurgaon, right near the Police Line. It’s a solid, older part of the city that has stayed the same while everything else in Gurgaon seems to be turning into a skyscraper. We call ourselves Avenues, and this has been our home for quite a while now. The office is in a standard brick building. It’s not fancy at all. The walls are a bit thin, so we can hear the neighbors sometimes, and the plumbing is a little temperamental. But it’s a good place to work. We have a few rooms where we do our daily tasks. There’s a lot of paper around because we still like to keep physical records of things. We don't have a big corporate culture here. We just work hard and try to get things done. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big project, and we’ll order food from the local dhabas nearby. The area near the Police Line is pretty busy, but our street is usually okay for parking. We don’t have any big advertisements or a marketing team telling people how great we are. We just rely on doing a decent job so people come back to us. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense environment. Most of the staff have been here for years, so we all know each other’s families and stories. It’s just a normal, local business doing its thing in Gurgaon, and we are happy with that.
