32Nd Milestone

Our place is right on NH-08, sitting directly on the highway in Gurgaon. It is a spot that most people know if they have been driving this route for a long time. The sound of the highway is just part of the background here, with trucks and cars rushing past at all hours. We have been here for years, and the area around us has changed so much. Gurgaon used to be much quieter, but now it is all glass buildings and heavy traffic. Our building has a bit of history to it compared to the new stuff popping up nearby. We deal with a lot of people who are just passing through or coming out from the city for a break. The work involves managing the facilities and making sure everything is ready for the crowds that show up on the weekends. It is a big property, so there is always something that needs fixing or a part of the garden that needs tending. We do not use any fancy management software; we just walk around and see what needs doing. The office is tucked away and filled with old ledgers and keys. It is a very practical way of running things. People stop here because it is a landmark on the road to Jaipur. We just keep the place running as it always has been, through the heat and the dust of the highway.
