Our place is located about 2.5 K.M. Stone on Basai Road. We are pretty close to Sector-9 and the Government College, so there are always students and local traffic passing by. Singla Polymers has been here for years, and the building shows its age a bit. We work with plastics and polymer materials, which usually means the smell of melting material is always in the air. It’s not a quiet job. The machines have a certain rhythm that you get used to after a week or two. We started out small and stayed that way mostly because we like knowing exactly what’s happening on the floor. The road outside gets muddy when it rains, and we spend a lot of time cleaning the entrance so the material doesn’t get contaminated. It’s just a group of us who have been working together for a long time. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is just manual checks and eyes-on work. We handle bags of raw material and turn them into whatever the customer asked for that week. Sometimes the orders are small, sometimes they take us all night. We don't really have a sales team. People just find us or hear about us from other shops nearby. We’ve got a small break area where we drink chai and talk about the day. It’s practical work for practical people, and we don’t pretend it’s anything else.
