Gardex

Down here at C-7 in the Focal Point area, things stay pretty loud throughout the day. We are located near South City I, and it’s a typical industrial neighborhood where everyone is busy making something or other. Gardex has been operating out of this unit for some time. It’s a basic setup with a high ceiling and a lot of shelf space for all the stock. The floor is concrete and has seen a lot of wear over the years from the heavy pallets being moved around. Most mornings, the guys roll in on their bikes and we get straight to work. There isn't much in the way of a fancy lobby or anything like that. We just have a small desk near the front where we handle the orders. Sometimes the neighbors come by to borrow a tool or just to chat for five minutes before getting back to their own shops. The summer heat gets pretty intense inside the shed, so we keep the big fans running all day long. It's not a quiet place by any means, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the machinery. We focus on getting the orders packed and sent out without too much fuss. Dealing with the traffic around Focal Point is probably the hardest part of the day. But once you’re inside our gate at C-7, it’s just us doing what we know how to do. We don't change much and we like the way things run.
