Our office is situated at No. 608 in Iris Tech Park, which is over in Sector 48 on Sohna Road. It’s one of those big glass buildings you see when you’re driving through Gurgaon. Being on the sixth floor gives us a decent view of the traffic below, which is usually at a standstill during rush hour. We are a small branch of a larger company, but here on the ground, it’s just a handful of us managing the day-to-day. We deal with industrial coatings, which sounds more complicated than it is. Mostly we are just coordinating with factories and making sure the right paint gets to the right place. The office is pretty standard with desks, some chairs for visitors, and a small pantry where we make coffee. It’s a quiet place most of the time, except when we have a big shipment coming in or going out. We don’t really go in for big corporate meetings; we just get our work done and head home. The walk from the parking lot to the elevator can be long on hot days, but the air conditioning inside is a relief. We’ve been at this location for a few years now and it’s a good spot for reaching our clients in the industrial belts. It’s not a flashy job, but it keeps us busy and we like the routine of it all.
