Rk Fish Farm

Down at Plot 2318G/3 on Lane-3 in Rajiv Nagar, we run the fish farm. It’s right across from the Sector-14 market on Old Delhi Road, which is a pretty easy landmark for anyone looking for us. Farming fish isn't a clean job. You’re always dealing with water, nets, and the smell of the outdoors. We spend a lot of our time checking the tanks and making sure the fish are doing okay. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when we have to move things around or clean out the equipment. The weather plays a big part in our day. If it’s raining hard, we’re out there making sure everything is secure. If it’s too hot, we’re checking the water levels constantly. It’s not like an office job where you sit in a chair all day. We’re usually on our feet and moving. Sometimes the market across the street gets really crowded, and we can hear all the shouting and horns, but our plot stays fairly focused on the task at hand. We have a small shed where we keep our tools and some feed. It’s not much to look at, but it’s where we spend our breaks. People stop by to see what we’ve got or just to chat about how the fish are growing. We keep it simple and just focus on the daily chores that keep a farm like this running properly. It’s honest work. We have some old buckets that we use for everything, and they’ve been patched up more than once.
