Raj Foods & Snacks

We are set up in Raheja Square at IMT Manesar. This is an industrial area, so our day revolves around the factory shifts and the office workers nearby. Raj Foods & Snacks is a small place. We do a lot of tea and quick snacks like pakoras and sandwiches. It’s very busy around 11 in the morning and then again at 4 in the afternoon when everyone takes their break. We have a counter where people stand and talk while they eat. There isn’t much room for sitting down, but people don’t seem to mind. They are usually in a hurry anyway. The air in Manesar can be a bit dusty, so we are always wiping down the glass and the counters. We’ve been at Raheja Square for a while now and we know most of the security guards and office managers. We don’t have a fancy menu. We just write the specials on a board sometimes. The kitchen is right there behind the counter, so you can see everything being made. It gets hot in there, especially in the summer months. We use a lot of disposable plates and cups to keep things moving fast. It’s a practical shop for a practical part of town. We just try to make sure the tea is hot and the snacks are fresh when the whistle blows.
