R. D. Traders

We are set up on Main Kadipur Road, not too far from the Sector-10 Chowk. It is a very busy stretch of road, especially during the morning rush. Our shop is where we do our trading business. We stock a lot of different items, and the shelves are usually pretty full. It is just a basic shop, nothing like those big showrooms you see in the city. We have a counter where we talk to customers and a small back room for storage. Most of our day is spent unloading trucks or counting stock. It gets quite noisy with all the traffic passing right outside the door. We have been here for a while, so most of the local drivers and other shopkeepers know us. We don't really do any big marketing. People just see our sign when they are driving toward the chowk and stop in if they need something. It’s a very practical kind of business. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several deliveries arrive at once. The weather really affects us here since the front is so open to the road. On dusty days, we are constantly cleaning the shelves. It’s just the two or three of us working here, so we handle everything ourselves. It is a simple life, but it keeps us on our feet and we enjoy the daily interactions.
