M. R. Creations

Our place is at I-918 in Palam Vihar. It’s a regular house on a regular street where we’ve set up M. R. Creations. We use a couple of the rooms for our work, and the rest is just for living. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of materials arriving. The neighbors are used to seeing delivery bikes coming and going by now. We spend most of our time at the large wooden table we put in the main room. It’s where all the planning and the actual making happens. Palam Vihar is a quiet spot, and we like being away from the heavy traffic of the main city. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just take a break and sit on the porch until it comes back on. We don't have any big flashy signs outside, just a small nameplate so people know they've found the right house. It’s a very informal environment here. We might be working in our slippers, but the work gets done nonetheless. Usually, we are busy with something from early morning. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you knock, one of us will just come to the door and let you in. It’s just how we’ve always run things, and it works for us and the people who know us. There is always a pile of cloth somewhere and a sewing machine running in the background.
