Being over here at 558/16 in Nai Basti means we’re right in the thick of it. It’s one of those areas where every corner has someone making or fixing something. Our place handles components for lamps and various kinds of machinery, though the name pretty much tells you that already. The building isn't brand new, and the street outside can be a bit of a squeeze when deliveries arrive. We spend most of our time surrounded by small parts and metal pieces. It can get a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is kept. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time, so we have a rhythm that works for us. We don't go in for fancy titles or big offices. It’s more about the grease on the hands and making sure the machines we send out actually do what they’re meant to do. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something to organize or a part that needs checking. We get a lot of local walk-ins who are looking for a specific bit for their own setups. We usually have a chat and see if we have what they need in the back. It’s an honest way to spend the day, just working through the stock and keeping the business going. We’re just a small part of the local landscape here in Nai Basti and we’re fine with that.
