Guru Engg. Works

We are located at 254/28 in Jyoti Park, right on Street Number 6. It’s a quiet enough area compared to some of the bigger industrial hubs, but we keep busy. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside. We have a heavy iron shutter that stays up all day while we work. Inside, it’s mostly just lathes and workbenches piled with different projects. We do a lot of small-scale engineering tasks. People from the surrounding blocks bring in bits of machinery that need turning or welding. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing we are here. Most of our days are spent standing on the concrete floor, measuring things and making sure the cuts are right. It gets a bit cold in the winter mornings, so we usually start the day with a hot cup of chai before the machines get warmed up. My father started this place, and I’ve been here since I was a teenager. Not much has changed inside the shop since then, except maybe a few new tools we picked up along the way. We don’t do big advertising. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around Jyoti Park. If a machine breaks down, we try to fix it. That’s the long and short of it. We like the routine of the work and the familiar faces who drop by to check on their orders. It keeps us going.
